It was a nice sunny afternoon and you were getting ready for a visitor.
Not just any visitor, but a special, kind one that you had developed feelings for months ago.
You had invited Kiku to come over to your house and he kindly accepted to visit you today.
You couldn't help but think how adorable he was; he was always so gentle and polite towards everyone and you loved his respectful mannerisms and soft-spoken nature. On top of that you found his dark silky hair and chocolate colored eyes so mesmerizing and cute.
You tried so hard to push these thoughts from your head and ignore these absolutely perfect features of his so you wouldn't get nervous in front of Kiku but your heart sped up at the mere thought of him being here any minute.
You suddenly snapped out of your thoughts as you heard a very gentle knock on the door.
Opening the door, you saw Kiku standing outside your doorway in a casual short sleeved shirt and a dark pair of pants.
"Hello ____-san."
"Hi Kiku, please come on in."
He bowed and followed in suite as he entered your house.
"Make yourself comfortable, Kiku." You gestured to some seats in the living room.
He nodded and sat down, watching you walk over to the kitchen.
"Would you like anything to drink?" you asked.
"That's okay, ____-san. Thank you."
His gaze fell suddenly towards your bookshelf not too far away from where he was sitting. His eyes soon spotted something that caught his attention and he walked over to it curiously.
"Hey _____-san, what is this?" He pointed to an old binder lying on your shelf.
"Oh that's my old pokemon album." You said as you walked over to where he was now standing.
"You like pokemon?" He asked, suddenly sounding a bit interested.
"Oh yes, I love it!" you stated excitedly.
A smile started to form on the Japanese man's face as he asked, "Would you like to play then, _____-san?"
"Sure, of course!"
You two walked back over to the living room table and laid out the album containing all your old pokemon cards. You both started to form your pokemon decks as you chose which cards to use from the pockets of the binder.
"Shall we get started?" Kiku asked as you were done laying out the cards on the table.
You nodded and soon begun the Pokemon Trading Card Game.
Ten minutes into the game you beamed brightly as you were winning with (favorite pokemon).
Kiku tried to counter the pokemon but to no avail, you still succeeded and won. You giggled and he smiled warmly at you, "Good job, ____-san."
You blushed a bit and started a new round. Kiku won this time and the game continued for about an hour. Sometimes you won and sometimes he did, overall it was a tie and you guys barely kept count on who was winning anyway. You were too busy having fun dueling each other.
"Hey ____-san, what is your favorite pokemon?" Kiku asked after some long silence.
"Hmm… (favorite pokemon), why?"
"Oh um… just wondering." Kiku shifted in his seat a bit and started to avert his gaze from you.
"What's your favorite, Kiku?"
"Um probably Pikachu." He answered a bit unsure, focusing back to the deck in his hands.
After a while you looked at the clock and saw how late it was. Who knew time flew this much when you're playing pokemon..
"Well, I guess I better go.." Kiku said as he joined you in looking at the clock and bowed, thanking you for the game and inviting him over. You shook your head and said it was no problem.
"We should play again sometime, ____-san. I really had fun." He smiled genuinely, causing you to squeal inwardly at the adorable sight, and soon left as you both bid good byes.
~ A few days later you found a small package awaiting you on your door step and found it was addressed to you. You opened it and saw the most adorable (favorite pokemon) plushie waiting inside.
You giggled happily and picked it up from out of the box, soon noticing a little note attached to it.
'Dear ____-san,
I really like you and have for a while now,
please accept this gift in honor of always being there for me and greeting me with nothing but warmth and kindness.
From, Kiku'
You smiled joyfully as you hugged your new plushie tightly along with the note attached.

Japan x Reader: Getto Daze
You were getting ready to go to the mall with one of your school friends, [f/n]. Since this is a reader-insert story, of course we have to describe what you're wearing in great detail. Just as in most other times when you went out in public, your outfit had a character theme- a kind of casual cosplay. And as usual, you figured [f/n] wouldn't be too happy about it... But hey, at least you weren't going out as a full-fledged, hardcore cosplay! She really hated that. That was why going places with Kiku was so awesome... But after he had arrived, you barely did anything with the other girls anymore, so you figured that this little Kiku-free excur

You glanced up from your current activity of shuffling all your homework around in your binder. You had just gotten settled down into homeroom, and were just trying to get organized for the day.
"Yeah, Kiku?" you replied, turning around in your chair to greet your Japanese friend behind you. You grinned at him. He seemed to be shuffling something around under his desk also.
"Can you come here for a second?" he asked softly. You scooted out of your seat and went to kneel next to his desk. He opened a smaller binder of his own, and the two of you leaned over it.

"[NAME], will you please pay attention? It's bad enough America is stuffing his face we don't need you to be off task, as well." Your attention turned back on to England. You were currently planning out tactics for war with the Allies; America, England, Russia, France, and somebody who nobody ever remembers. Canada, I think it is. Anyway, you were daydreaming, which was something uncharacteristic of you. Usually, you were brilliant at the meetings, but nowadays
