You had been staring at the clock tolerantly, currently waiting for your best friend to arrive.
You guys usually met up with each other before class started in the morning since you two didn't have many classes together and would try to improvise as much as possible. She told you to meet up with her in Room 302 which was her first period class.
So here you were, standing around in an empty class room with a notepad and pencil in hand because you found out that you had lost your voice when you woke up this morning.
You still didn't see her around and you'd been waiting for about 14 minutes now.
Suddenly the door opened and instead of seeing your best friend, you saw a really attractive guy with the most gorgeous green eyes you've ever seen and messy blond hair that covered a pair of dark, bushy eyebrows that you found oddly adorable.
He walked over to his desk, standing beside it as he noticed you standing awkwardly in the room.
"You're not in this class, love," he slightly teased. "Are you waiting for someone, a friend perhaps?" He had such a charming British accent; you couldn't help but melt inwardly as you heard it. The fact that he called you 'love' didn't help and only made you blush heavily by now.
You meekly nodded, feeling so silly since you couldn't talk.
"What's your name?"
You stood there frozen for a second and then pointed to your throat, indicating you couldn't speak.
"You can't talk?"
You nodded and started writing in your notepad.
'I lost my voice this morning. My name is ____ by the way.'
He walked over to you, and read that, nodding understandingly.
"Oh, I see. Does your throat hurt, _____?"
You nodded a bit glumly, thinking about how many cough drops you took earlier this morning and how it didn't help at all.
"I know what would help. There's some Arizona tea being sold in the vending machine outside, come on let's go." He smiled and took your hand gently, about to lead you outside the classroom over to a vending machine.
You stiffened, causing him to stop and notice. "What's the ma- Oh yes, you were waiting for a friend. How rude of me.." He slowly started to let go of your hand but you quickly held it back in place.
You scribbled down in your note pad, 'It's okay. I've been waiting for a while now and she hasn't shown up. I'll talk to her later and I wouldn't mind some tea.' You drew a smiley next to that to reassure him. 'By the way, what's your name?'
"Arthur, Arthur Kirkland." He smiled as he read over your shoulder since he was a bit taller than you.
'Nice to meet you.'
"The pleasure's all mine, _____. Now let's go get you that tea to heal your throat."
Arthur guided you outside and you followed right beside him, spotting the vending machine.
You turned and saw Arthur reaching for some change in his pocket. You quickly try to stop him and wrote, 'It's not necessary, you don't have to pay for me.' before he could put the quarters in the slot.
"It's no problem love and besides, it's what a gentleman does."
You blushed at his polite mannerisms and let him pay for it, feeling admittedly guilty and flattered at the same time.
"Here you go, _____. One Arizona Tea right up." Arthur handed you the can but not before opening the pull tab off the container. "These things can be hard to open." He said as he gave the Arizona tea to you.
'Thanks so much, Arthur and I'm sorry if this is awkward for you.' You motioned to yourself writing on a notepad.
He chuckled as he read that and said, "Not at all and you're welcome, love."
You smiled as you took a sip of the tea, letting the warm flavor linger in your mouth gently and slowly start to comfort your throat.
"This is really good!" you blurt out loud, surprising Arthur and even yourself.
Arthur chuckled really hard as you realized your voice came back and started blushing at your sudden outburst.
"Looks like your voice came back, love, I'm glad. I knew that iced tea would do the trick for a sore throat." He grinned and suddenly the bell rang, snapping you two out of your exchange.
"Well I guess we better get to class…" you nervously laugh and thanked him for helping you get your voice back.
"I guess so, but could I see your note pad for a second, _____?"
"S-sure.." you handed it to him along with your pencil, watching him scribble something down on it.
"See you later, love." He said as he handed you your notepad and pencil and turned to go back inside his classroom.
You looked down to see what he wrote and read it silently,
'Meet me after class by the vending machine'
You noticed little doodles around that and beamed, 'A cute British guy cured my throat today and wants me to meet him after class? Yes!'
"______? _______!" You turn around, snapped out of your thoughts and see your best friend running over towards you. "______, I'm so sorry I wasn't here and that I came so late, I-"
"It's okay… thank you." You smiled as you headed towards your class, knowing you'd be late. "See ya later!" You walked away, sipping your tea and sighing happily as you thought about your run in with the stunning Brit.
Your best friend just stood there confused as she watched you leave to head to class.

Tea.
You never cared much for it. It wasn’t your least favorite beverage, that spot belonged to the disgusting diet shakes your mother kept drinking and always begged you to try. Those were the worst by far!
That being said, tea still wasn’t that high on your list. You’d tried it before, and tried it again, but it just didn’t do anything for you.
No problem, you told yourself, Nobody says I have to drink it, right? And for a good portion of your life, that was true. No one would force you to drink if you didn’t want it, and most people didn’t really offer it to you anyway.
And then you made the er

Pitter, patter. Splish splash. You looked up from your book, glancing over at the Brit huddled in the corner with a stack of spell books. "Hey, Arthur?" You questioned. "Wanna take a break and, I don't know, do something?"
"I'll have you know, I have a lot of reading I need to get done." He replied, his green eyes not leaving the faded pages and hand inked words. "So please shut up." And, with that said, he continued to pour over the spell books.
Groaning, you shut your book and looked out the window. What a shitty time for it to start raining. The only reason you'd come to his house in the first place was simply because you needed somemore

You were an idiot.
Those reports on the news warning of a blizzard? You ignored them. The lack of snow the past few years had caused you to lose your faith in winter and storms.
So like a fool, you went over to your dear friend Arthur's house today.
You stayed for a good few hours, but uh... you started to get hungry. And you'd heard the rumors about his cooking. Added to the fact that it was getting late and it was rather improper for you to stay so late a guy friend's house.... Well it just seemed like a good time to leave
But when you happened to open the door, you discovered the news report was right! The entire ground was covered in

And by the way I have no idea if Arizona tea actually performs miracles for a sore throat but in this case it does... hmm maybe Iggy secretly added some magic to it and helped the reader much quicker

I still have a sore throat today, and it's to late to go buy some tea >.< Good thing we went shopping, my friends and I are having a FanFic sleepover with a bunch of Pocky, Ramune, and Hi-chew. I can't talk so they bought me some tea because I paid for everything else. I really like my friends. Plus we have the entire house to ourselves because the boys went out partying
