Japan x MewMew!Reader: Part 2

"Welcome to Café Mew Mew." Kiku smiled as he showed you around the café.

"Woah…" you murmured as you walked around, examining the whole place.


There were small chairs circling around each table, the back of each chair shaped like a heart.  
Lots and lots of girly heart decorations were scattered across the walls as well as other parts of the café
and the ceiling hung way above your head, you just couldn't believe how huge this café even was.
But the thing that caught your eye the most were the fancy pastries delicately placed on some of the tables. There were slices of cakes and other desserts that looked so delicious, just begging to be eaten by you.


"So adorable!" you finally squealed into your fists as you finished observing the café.

"I'm glad you like it, ____." Kiku smiled and held out a box towards you. "Please try on your official uniform; it will be required for working here at the café."

You looked at the box, a bit confused. "I..I have to wear a uniform?"

He nodded and gave you the box. "You can change in the back." Kiku pointed a few doors down away from the café. You took the box and headed towards that direction.

A few minutes later you came back to the center of the café in your uniform only to be met with stares from three men sitting casually on the heart shaped chairs. You blushed as they not-so-subtly looked you up and down. The uniform was a short (f/c) dress along with a white apron and a head piece/band.

You haven't seen one of the guys sitting there here in the cafe earlier but he quickly noticed your quizzical expression and introduced himself to you.

"Hello, we haven't met yet. My name is Arthur Kirkland, it's a pleasure to meet you, ____."
He softly took your hand and pressed his lips against it. You blushed a bit more before asking, "How do you know my name?" He warmly chuckled and said, "Don't worry, Kiku told me while you were away." You sighed a bit of relief that you didn't know you had been holding onto and studied this man. He had slightly messy blond hair and bright green eyes, along with a polite smile plastered on his face.

"Aw dude, she looks so cute!" you turned your head to look at the blonde haired worker you saw earlier with glasses, who was leaning back in the heart shaped chair with hands rested behind his head. You blushed darker at this compliment and quickly looked away from him.

You soon found out that his name was Alfred F. Jones and that he and Arthur were brothers. They seemed very different from each other but were both Kiku's partners in running the café and apparently something called the Mew Project.

"Should we tell her?" Alfred whispered loudly enough to the other guys for you to hear.
"She'll find out eventually, we might as well tell her now." Arthur whispered back.
"Tell me what?" you chimed in.
Kiku turned to you as he answered, "There are alien parasites called Chimera Animas that are trying to take over the Earth by infecting animals and turning them into monsters. Your job is to battle these creatures that are using animals to attack humans and protect the Earth from them."

You gasped, ready to lie on the floor and have a panic attack. "Is this a joke?? How am I even supposed to do this all by myself?!"

"You won't, love, there are a few others like you. You see, we gathered genetic material from five endangered species. The other four genetic materials were merged with other people that we don't know yet. You'll have to find the others and team up to save the Earth from danger. But don't worry about that right now, love. We'll show you how to use your powers and try to help you locate the other Mew Mews." Arthur explained.

The three guys all looked at you and saw you looking like you were on the verge of having a mental breakdown.


"Why don't you go home and rest, ____? You look exhausted." Kiku suggested and you meekly nodded in response. You went to the other room, billions of thoughts swirling through your mind as you changed back to your regular clothes.

You walked back to the center off the café and started to wave good bye.

"Come here tomorrow at 7 o clock, the café will be open by then." Kiku said as you were about to leave.

Seeing as you had no other choice, you complied and soon left the café.

The guys all soon looked back to each other worriedly, hoping they didn't scare you off too bad but they really needed you and so did the world.

You walked on the sidewalk as you headed home, feeling dizzy from this whole day. First you find out that you're part cat, you have to work at a café, you have to search for four others like you, and to top it off that you have to protect the entire planet from alien monster things.

"Could this day get any weirder?" you asked yourself aloud.
That rhetorical question seemed to be answered as you suddenly felt a presence approach you from behind, only to get increasingly closer to you.

"Weird is just ze beginning of it..." a voice whispered.
